Lonsdale London

The origins of the name “Lonsdale” come from the 5th Earl of Lonsdale, Hugh Cecil Lowther, who organized the first gloved boxing match in 1891. Bernard Hart asked one of his descendants for permission to use this name for a boxing apparel brand.

The company, which initially produced only boxing clothing and equipment, later expanded to produce sportswear as well.

The brand has been made famous by athletes of the caliber of Muhammad Ali, Mike Tyson, and Lennox Lewis.

Today, Lonsdale London is an evergreen, appealing, casual, and refined brand that caters to a very broad age range (both male and female), from youngsters to adults.
